Ken Cole, writing on the well-known Ralph Maughan blog, reveals what “Butch” Otter says about the meeting which led to backroom wolf deal stalling.

According to a post that appeared on Ralph Maughan’s blog, written by Ken Cole, Idaho has suspended the 2008-2012 Wolf Management plan in favor of the draconian, politically-motived, 2002 Idaho Wolf Conservation and Management Plan.

A post by Ken Cole on Ralph Maughan’s popular wolves.wordpress.com blog, states that Wildlife Services have dropped gassing of pups in their dens and sterilization but plans still contain heavy handed killing of wolves.

Ralph Maughan and Ken Cole of the active wildlife blog, wolves.wordpress.com, believe that the state of Idaho doesn’t have any legal right at this time to manage the wolves in their states as an agreement to allow them to do so has long since expired.

Jim Beers, a retired member of the US Fish and Wildlife Service – Program Coordinator for ADC (now Wildlife Services) – has been actively on a campaign against the wolf reintroduction for many years. The recent claims are that the entire wolf reintroduction program can be tied to theft, fraud and illegal activity.

Ralph Maughan does a good job of explaining the situation in Montana and effectively highlights the waste of money and improper use of the funds as not one preventative measure is put in to place during 2009.
