Wolf Delisting Hearing in Colorado

This news release was sent out by Defenders of Wildlife about the addition of a new hearing in Colorado

Coloradans, this is the chance you’ve been waiting for.The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) has rescheduled the public hearings on their misguided proposal to delist gray wolves under the Endangered Species Act across most of the U.S., and extended the public comment period on this proposal to December 17.

I wanted to make sure you were aware of this news —that FWS has decided to hold a public hearing in Colorado on their misguided proposal on wolves. Our best chance to stand up and fight for wolf conservation will happen on Tuesday, November 19th in Denver, Colorado.

We need you to stand up and make your voice heard!

Your presence will make a huge impact in our fight to stop this delisting. I hope you’ll consider joining wolf advocates from across Colorado to testify face-to-face in front of officials from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

As we speak, Defenders is working to secure a location where our supporters can gather before the hearing begins. This pre-hearing meet-up is where Defenders staff will help train and prepare all of our advocates to testify on behalf of wolves.

We’ll let you know details soon, but until then, here’s the information on the hearing location and time:

When: November 19th, 6 pm- 8:30 pm
Where: Paramount Theatre
1621 Glenarm Place
Denver, CO 80202

Defenders will continue working around the clock to bring you updates on the public hearing and the pre-hearing meet-up and training calls hosted by Defenders.

Stay tuned wolf advocates. Now is our chance to show FWS what we’re made of.
