Plans for the Wolf Conservation Center’s move to the northeast corner of the 383-acre Leon Levy Preserve are underway.
A large educational and welcome center, offices for the Wolf Conservation Center’s staff and Friends of Levy, and the possible use of one of the three houses on the property by the town are all part of plans unveiled by Skykay partners, LLC and Wolf Center Executive Director Deborah Heineman at Monday’s Town Board meeting.
Approximately eight acres of the property adjacent to the educational center would be double-fenced and used to house three “ambassador” wolves, a red wolf breeding pair, and a new pup due to be acquired…
