 A writer for the Associated Press wrote an article which appeared on Madisonet.com, and other sites, which was filled with rhetoric and demonstrated a major bias in favor of the livestock industry.

Wolves killed 63 cattle, most of which were calves, worth a total of $113,586, according to a new report from the state Department of Natural Resources. Between 25 and 27 packs of wolves are believed to have carried out the killings along with a handful of lone wolves.

A study carried out in the Basque Country suggests that wild dogs, not wolves, are the primary killer of sheep.
