According to the report written by Matthew Brown, from the Associated Press, Montana Governor Brian Schweitzer said that Wyoming and Idaho had caused the talks to hit an impasse.

A post by Ken Cole on Ralph Maughan’s popular wolves.wordpress.com blog, states that Wildlife Services have dropped gassing of pups in their dens and sterilization but plans still contain heavy handed killing of wolves.

Idaho, Montana and Wyoming’s governors and governor-elects all met up with Secretary of the Interior, and rancher, Ken Salazar to discuss the wolf management “issue.”

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service have suspended the progress of the Idaho petition to kill more than 40 wolves in the Lolo zone has to undergo a review before any decision will be made.

Kevin Richert, writing on the IdahoStatesmen.com Web site, is not pro-wolf. It’s not really anti-wolf either, but its certainly interesting and it carefully, and with little deviation, targets Otter for his cynical strategy and Wyoming for being the root cause of all the problems.
