Wildlife advocacy groups are feeling the pressure of an impending and dangerous legislative solution, which could strip the Endangered Species Act of much of it’s power and leave wolves in all parts of the country at serious risk.

Utah continues it’s stance as probably the most anti-wolf state in the US as congressman Jim Matheson, who represents that state, puts his support behind yet another wolf-delisting bill.

The Utah House passes S.B. 36, which would strike a devastating blow to any future chances of wolves returning to the state.

Christensen’s bill, SB 36, continues to move forward and the future for wolves in Utah looks more bleak.

Republican state senator Allen Christensen’s vicious anti-wolf bill has taken its first step towards being signed into law after passing through Utah’s State Senate.

Defenders of Wildlife is mobilizing against the harsh anti-wolf legislation currently making its way through Utah’s state senate.

The original Christensen bill, which called for all wolves to be killed or captured within the state of Utah, has the state officials worried for their freedom and other legislatures concerned enough that a tamer substitute bill was submitted and approved by the panel… which is only a minor improvement.

Allen Christensen, state senator for Utah from District 19 has proposed a bill which would call for the extermination or capture of any wolf found within the borders of Utah.
