The Associated Press and KDSK in St. Louis offer updates on the current status of five puppies which offer hope and optimism for the beleaguered Mexican Wolf recovery program.

Test results confirmed some of the scat found on High Lonesome Ranch belonged to coyotes, however other samples were too decomposed to successfully identify the source.

The Wyoming Gray Wolf Recovery Status Report for this week shows that wildlife services have for the year so far killed 19 wolves in response to livestock predation… more than three times the number of “confirmed” wolf predations for the state.
