Ranchland, Alberta to support wolf project

Area wolf activity is going to be monitored in coming months following a proposal to the Municipal District (MD) of Ranchland.

At the Nov. 26 meeting of Ranchland council, Spruce Co-operative Manager Joe Engelhart presented a proposal for a wolf montioring and mitigation project.

Wolves haven’t been the critical issue that they have been in past years, council and Engelhart discussed. Grizzlies have been a much larger problem in terms of predation and human-bear conflicts in the area.
