Minnesota activists pursue bill against wolf hunts

Minnesota pro-wolf site seeks to put a halt on recreational wolf hunting.

Activists with Howling for Wolves, a nonprofit in Minnesota organizing against the hunting of wolves, expects a bill to be introduced in the state senate to impose a five-year ban on recreational wolf hunting, trapping and snaring.

Howling for Wolves has been a leader in the Midwest campaign against the hunts, which also have taken place – amid much protest – in Wisconsin. The organization says that in 2012 in Minnesota, one in four wolves was killed by hunting and trapping…
