“Reddit”‘er tells the story of Yuki, a rescued black-phase wolf

A member of the news/opinion/social networking Web site, Reddit, posted the story of a beautiful black-phase wolf named Yuki, who was rescued and now calls the Shy Wolf Sanctuary home.Shy Wolf Sanctuary is based in Florida, and is home to close to 30 wolves and wolf-dog hybrids.

One such wolf is Yuki, who has gained some internet fame by being featured on the highly active Reddit Web site.

The post, titled “My Wolf Friend, Yuki” and the introduction reads:

Yuki was bred in captivity and sold to be kept as a pet in North Carolina. As a puppy, he had several different owners and was abused. He was abandoned and was going to be euthanized at an animal shelter because they can’t adopt out wolves. Instead, Shy Wolf Sanctuary in Naples, FL, where I volunteer, rescued him and he lives there with a wolfdog named Bella. Yuki loves women, showing off to visitors, and being super goofy.

Please remember, wolves are highly awesome but do not want to be your pet.
