Idaho Fish and Game planned to use helicopters to follow wolves in the Frank Church Wilderness and tranquilize and collar them.

An injunction was sought as opponents argued that use of a helicopter would be damaging and unnecessary to the administration of the area. A judge ruled with the state, but did so with some cautions.

Read Ralph Maughan’s post on his blog – Loss on Helicopters in wilderness – and read the complaint, which he has posted there.
