The BBC is reporting that a production written by playwright Samantha Ellis will be seen first during a meeting about wilderness areas.
It is not clear which side of the debate Ellis is taking, but the discussion revolves around the possible reintroduction of wolves to Scotland. A move which local charity, the Wolves and Humans Foundation, says will become more popular with the public in coming years.
The play is called “The last wolf in Scotland.”
Wolves were hunted to extinction in Scotland in the 18th century. Royalty hunted them for sport, and massive areas of forested land was razed to systematically destroy the wolves’ habitat.
